 Direct MBA admission process differs only on one count that you either get MBA admission without entrance exam score or the admission is offered with moderate score in entrance exam. Rest other points to apply and go through the Direct MBA admission process are more or less same as detailed below:

You must be a graduate or should be in final year of graduation in any discipline preferably with at least 50% marks.

Keep ready your class X, XII and graduation mark sheets, certificates (if applicable) with copies

On receiving call from the respective MBA college, attend GD-PI-WAT  as required

On receiving final admission offer, pay acceptance fee

Take MAT, CMAT & Get Direct MBA Admission

Remember that Exam Scores are NOT important for Admissions into B-schools ranked after Top 50. They generally give Admissions even at very low percentile. Direct MBA admission through Management Quota

There are many MBA colleges with Management quota in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other states. In Maharashtra there are the Institute level seats. You may get direct admission in top MBA colleges through Management quota or Institute level quota seats. Most of these colleges offer The Direct Admission in MBA without donation, although the admission fee may be a bit higher.

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has clarified that 20% institute level seats can be offered through Management Quota. The instructions issued by DTE for MBA admission through Management quota seats or Institute level seats are that the Director/Principal of the respective Un-aided Management institute shall invite applications for the seats available by giving publicity in at least two newspapers and on the website of the Institute.

Information brochure/prospectus of the Institute, which specifies rules of admission, is published well before the commencement of the process of admission for the Institute Level/Minority Seats. All the information in the brochures is also displayed on the Institute’s website for MBA admission through Management quota seats. MBA aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply directly to the Director/Principal of the respective institute for admission. Similar admission opportunities also exist in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other States.

Direct MBA admission to NRI/PIO/Foreign National candidates

Direct MBA admission for NRI candidates without entrance exam or direct MBA admission for Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates is offered in many MBA colleges. There is reservation of seats also for MBA admission to Foreign nationals, NRI candidates, PIO candidates in most of the University MBA colleges and AICTE approved PGDM B-schools.

In the MBA colleges in Maharashtra, eligible NRI candidates may be offered MBA admission against the Institute Level Seats in Unaided Institutes.

The eligibility Criteria for direct MBA admissions against seats for NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Student/ PIO/Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries is that they should have basic educational qualification of graduation as specified. In case they have not appeared in any entrance exam for MBA admission, they may alternately appear in CET conducted by the Association of all colleges of a particular type in the State.

AICTE Guidelines for Direct MBA Admission 2022

AICTE has issued a circular  to all the PGDM/MBA colleges in India to offer direct admission in case the respective MBA entrance exam could not be conducted due to pandemic.
